A person standing in the light of the Sunday.

Dear Friends in Christ,

I want to let you all know that I am back in the hospital at Baptist in Winston-Salem. About a week, ago something started slowing my progress (which had been steady.) They determined that I had dangerously low sodium. That’s ironic since I have been under such restrictions but apparently the combination of pretty much eliminating so much of that from my diet along with some medication shocked my system. The good news is that it can be treated without lasting effect but after so much that I’ve already been through having to be hospitalized again is very disappointing. I’ll be candid in saying this all will delay my return, something I want to do more than anything. You are such a wonderful church family and I love you all. So I promise to keep fighting. Know that comes from faith. I don’t know how so many these days live without it. At least it explains why our world and community and world seem so messed up these days. Belief in Jesus can get you through anything as I’ve been learning. And Jesus calls us to keep fighting and stand firm. He says this directly in Matthew 24:13, “but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Take those words with whatever you may be going through. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Love in Jesus Christ,

Wesley
