Leaders from both churches recently met separately to discuss returning to in-person worship.

First, we all want you to know we miss you and miss being together in person!

And we are discussing the best approach for returning to in-person worship for each particular congregation. We are putting together a plan to ensure the safety of everyone when we do reopen that will follow CDC, state and local guidelines as well as some suggestions offered by our conference leaders and bishop. Whenever we do begin to meet again it will look very different than when we were gathering at the beginning of this year.

As we make preparations we will continue to offer online worship as well as CD’s and DVD’s. Please let us know if you need assistance to view these services. We also plan to continue providing virtual worship in some form for those who are unable or do not feel comfortable returning in person.

Upcoming dates to remember.
This Sunday, October 4th, World Communion Sunday. We will observe Communion. Plan to have bread and juice available for all those viewing the service at your location.
Sunday November 1st, All Saints Sunday. We will remember those who died this year that were part of our congregations.
Sunday November 8th, 1 PM at Ebenezer UMC, Charge Conference is scheduled in person for the leadership of both churches.

Thank you for your continued support through prayers, giving and participation in our virtual worship. Some have asked the best way to give their offering. Mailing a check to your particular church address at the top of the page is the best and safest way.

These are challenging times for everyone, but we serve a God we can trust.

“Blessed are those who trust in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7–8 NRSV)

Leaders in attendance:
(Reeds) Buddy Hughes, Harry Mock, Cody Milliron, Tom & Mary Payne, Bruce Myers, Carol Martin, Jeanna Carlton.

(Ebenezer) Foy & Kelly Kennedy, Tina Gobble, Allen Fritts, Annette & Robert Burchette, Kathy Everhart, Rosa James.
